300 cows to calve and never enough daylight to get all the work done. This western Nebraska family working ranch offers personalized ranch vacations, providing the opportunity to become involved with the day to day activities associated with calving and related spring work. From March through May, daily activities will include feeding/care of livestock, providing calving assistance, tagging calves, pairing out (sorting babies & mamas), driving pairs to alternate locations, general repairs, etc. We raise irrigated corn, alfalfa, and some wheat on 800 acres of farm ground. You may select personal levels of involvement with these activities.

Alternate activities could include trail riding through Nebraska's big Sandhill Country or sightseeing Lake McConaughy and historical sites related to the Oregon Trail. Blue Creek runs through our "Back Yard", providing a tranquil setting for some quiet time and reflection.

Other times of the year are available. Call us to see what is happening. There is some summer and fall work. We do not try to 'create' activities for the guests.

We will board your horses or can provide horses and basic Horsemanship Instruction if required. Reservations are normally restricted to groups of up to 4 people at a time, but ideally 2 people. Length of stay is your choice.

This is an opportunity to experience life on a working ranch. where people are making a living in agriculture. If you've dreamed of experiencing working on a ranch, let us help provide your personalized ranch vacation.
